Assorted Chocolates

After spending two months on Glenn's sweater, I was happy to turn to a quick, garter stitch shawl.  Sundry, by Jennifer Dassau, was the perfect pattern for the Malabrigo yarn I got last winter in the Oeste and Chocolat Amargo colorways.

It was the perfect morning to visit Fort Tyron Park for a photoshoot. Fall is underway in the City.

And last, it is with sorrow, that we had to say goodbye to our sweet Gonzo last week.  He was a wonderful, wonderfuly kitty and we did not have nearly enough time to spoil him.  We love you Gonzo.

While I was off reveling in wool last weekend in Rhinebeck, Glenn met a lovely five-month old orange tiger kitty that needed a home. Zoot came to live with us on Wednesday. He's very curious and friendly and we hope he likes it here.

Rhinebeck

A sure sign of fall in my world - a trip to Rhinebeck for the New York Sheep and Wool Festival. A fun weekend of visiting with fellow knitters, petting sheep, llama, and alpaca, and phenomenal shopping.  Oh, yeh, and cupcakes. Can't forget the cupcakes (thanks Hezzie).

Mom cuddling Hezzie's purchases.

Height's Hipster

It's been months in the making, but I finally have another knitted FO.  This year, Glenn's birthday sweater is Jared Flood's Ranger cardigan, knit in Brooklyn Tweed's Shelter in pumpernickle.  Jared Flood has great patterns for men's knits.

Thanks to the Knitmore Girles for their tutorial on how to back a button!

Scrappin' Bees

The annual weekend retreat with the gals from the hive. I spent most of my time working on my Christmas cards, but I did get some layouts done.
