Tumblewood Farm

It's been a very rainy weekend, but it was still nice to get out of the City for a couple of days in the country. I love the vibrant green New York State showcases this time of year.

When we got to the farm we were greeted by the three-headed monster.  Then we were introduced to the chicks and poults.

Font of the Hounds

I finished Baskerville by Beth Kling yesterday and am thrilled with the results.  It's knit with DK-weight yarn (I used Madelinetosh DK Twist in Sketchbook), so it knits up very quickly.  The only disappointing thing is that I will have to wait until next fall to wear it because the heavier yarn means that it is substantially warmer.

Ancient Writings

I just finished the Alexandria Cardigan by Connie Chang Chinchio. I made the sweater a larger size, and am disappointed by the proportions.  The armholes are much too big, which in turn make the collar and arms droop.

I used Madelinetosh DK in the Calligraphy color way. The yarn a nice ply for this pattern, but the color way is a bit too pink for my tastes.  I am contemplating trying to bleach it to a lighter shade.

PageMaps - Celebrating 7 Years

PageMaps' latest sketch contest is in honor of their seven year anniversary. Appropriately, I took up this challenge on National Scrapbooking Day.
