Iceland Day 4 - Reykjavik

After our long excursions on Monday and Tuesday, we decided we needed a rest day on Wednesday. We slept in and then went out to explore Reykjavik.  After breakfast at a bakery near our hotel, we wandered up to Hallgrimskirkja (the church that dominates over the city). After enjoying the view from the tower, we wandered down to the sea and explored the harbor and Harpa music hall.  Glenn listened to some local music at 12 Tonar.  Then, after exploring the Reykjavik Art Museum, we walked around the City, grabbing a hot dog for lunch.

This City has lots of character:

It was fairly overcast all morning, but when we headed out to dinner we were greeted by the sun. It shone on us for the rest of the evening.  It sets around 11:30 this time of year, but it never gets completely dark.

After dinner, we headed out to hear some music.  Our first stop was Lucky Records where an indie-folk group was playing. After that we went back near the harbor to Hurra where we listened to a bit of thrash before deciding to turn in.
