Dancing Ewe Farm

If you want an amazing dining experience, with fresh, locally sourced cuisine, then you really need to take a trip up to Granville, New York and the Dancing Ewe Farm.  Located to the east of Lake Gorge, it's a bit of a drive from just about anywhere, but it is definitely worth it.  This family-run farm raises sheep and produces sheep's milk cheese. While many other ingredients are locally sourced, the family also has ties to Italy and import amazing olive oils and cured meats. We joined my family and close family friends for a Sunday lunch there at the end of summer and had one of the better dining out experiences of our lives.

While visiting family in Saratoga Springs, I took an early morning walk at the Wilton Wildlife Preserve's Old Glick Farm.  There's so many beautiful places to wander upstate and I'm glad I have access to them.
