I absolutely loved knitting the Lin-Lin Shawl by Yoko Johnston. It was a quick and easy knit, and an absolutely beautiful design. The three sections of the shawl are designed to represent the trunks of trees (wide ribbing), moving into the branches (a lattice lace motif), with birds at the edging (the ruffles).
I knit it in Queensland Kathmandu Aran, and I think that the tweedy texture of the yarn worked wonderfully with the motif.
And it was a gorgeous late fall day. Perfect to head outside for a photo shoot.
