Photography is definitely one of those things where better equipment can make you better, even if you have no clue what you're doing! Which is not to say that I want to be clueless. I just signed up for a basic photography class taught by Candice Stringham at Jessica Sprague's website to learn a bit more about how to use my camera. But I also recognized that, in order to get the indoor shots I want, I needed a better prime lens. Yesterday I invested in a Sigma 50 mm with an apperature of 1.4 . When I got home I conducted an experiment. I turned off the light in my living room and took one picture, on auto without the flash. I put the new lens on my camera and took a second picture. See what I mean?
