The weather has been so wonderful, I knew I had to hike this weekend (before it gets too hot to be enjoyable). Glenn and two friends joined me in a wander through the northern reaches of Fahnestock State Park. The hike crossed into privately held farmland, where the fields were full of wildflowers. In the woods, the mountain laurel were blooming. Near one of the ponds we passed on route, we found some irises growing wild. It was a wonderful summer day.
